Jewelry made at the bench

Rings, necklaces, and earrings hand-fabricated in recycled gold and silver, one piece at a time — plus bespoke commissions and small workshops for anyone who wants to make their own.

Our story

Every piece begins as a length of raw metal

Recycled gold and silver, sawn and soldered at the bench — every ring and pendant is finished by one pair of hands.

We opened this studio in a quiet lane in Samcheong-dong because we wanted a place where jewelry could be made the slow way — the whole way. Every ring, pendant, and pair of earrings that leaves the bench starts as raw wire and sheet, and is sawed, filed, soldered, and set entirely by hand. Nothing is cast in a factory overseas and stamped with our name; nothing leaves the studio until the solder seams have vanished and the surface reads true under the loupe.

The making runs across a handful of steady steps. We draw the design, then fabricate the form — cutting metal, forming it over a mandrel, and joining it with silver solder at the torch. Stones are set last, each bezel or prong burnished down by hand so the gem sits secure and level. Then comes the finishing: hours of filing, sanding through grits, and polishing until the metal holds a mirror or a soft satin, whichever the piece asks for. A single ring can take a full day; a commission, several weeks.

We work in materials chosen to be worn for a lifetime and handed down: recycled 14k and 18k gold, sterling and Argentium silver, and responsibly sourced stones — sapphires, old-cut diamonds, and the occasional rough-hewn tourmaline. Ready-to-wear pieces start around ₩180,000 for a simple silver band and rise with the gold weight and the stones. Get in touch and we'll tell you what's in the case right now, or what we can make for you.

About the studio

What we make, and why

An honest description of how we work. Replace this with your own story — how you started, which metals and stones you love, and what a commission looks like.

Fabricated by hand

Every piece is sawed, soldered, and set at our own bench — never mass-cast offshore. Hand fabrication means cleaner seams, better weight, and metal that lasts.

Recycled & sourced with care

We work in recycled 14k and 18k gold and reclaimed sterling silver, with responsibly sourced and traceable stones. We tell you exactly what each piece is made from.

Small workshops

Bench classes stay tiny — four to six people — so everyone gets a torch, a set of tools, and real one-to-one time learning to saw, solder, and set.

Built to be handed down

These are heirlooms, not fast fashion. Every commission is stamped, and we keep your ring size and design on file for future resizing and repair.

Bespoke & engagement

Engagement rings, wedding bands, and remodels of inherited gold are our specialty. We design with you from sketch to stone, entirely one of a kind.

Repairs & resizing

Ring too tight, a clasp gone, a stone come loose? We resize, re-tip prongs, and restore pieces from any maker at the bench — bring it in and we'll assess it.

Kind words

What our clients say

A few notes from people wearing our pieces or who've made their own at the bench. Replace these with your own reviews.

We designed my engagement ring together over three fittings, reusing my grandmother's diamond. It's exactly the ring I'd have drawn myself, and it fits like it was grown on my hand.
Jiwon K. · Bespoke engagement ring
The one-day silver ring workshop was the calmest six hours I've had in months. Tiny group, real tools, and I walked out wearing a band I'd sawed and soldered myself.
Minseo P. · Silver Ring Workshop
I had my late father's gold cufflinks remade into a pair of everyday earrings. The craftsmanship is flawless and it means the world to still wear that gold.
Daniel R. · Commission · Remodel

Questions

Frequently asked

It starts with a conversation — in person or over email — about what you want, your budget, and your timeline. We sketch the design, agree on metal and stones, and give you a firm quote before any metal is cut. Most commissions take three to six weeks from approval, and you'll see the piece at least once before it's finished.
